Honeymoon

The Honeymoon was great. For the first week, we flew to Jamaica and stayed at the Grand Lido Braco resort. We did nothing but eat, drink, and relax for the entire stay. It was great. All the food and drink were free. All of the staff was helpful and friendly. The beach was awesome. We got to go on a glass bottom boat, and paddleboat. I had a good time.

After Jamaica, we came home and went up to Hampton Beach. We hung out at the beach, got some Blink's Fried Dough, and went on a fishing boat. We didn't catch anything though.

After that, it was off to Port Canaveral Florida to start our second week on our Cruise. We sailed aboard the Royal Caribbean ship, The Mariner of the Seas. I didn't know it until after boarding, but this ship is the largest cruise vessel ever built. It was great. We climbed the rock wall, shopped a little, ate some food, and gambled. Christine won some money at the Roulette Table, I won some money at the Black Jack Table (They had a single deck shoe table. I was in heaven.), and I learned how to play Craps. The formal dinning room was really nice too. The people we were seated with were great and we had a good time eating with them.

Our first excursion off the ship was to Labadee, Hispaniola, also known as Haiti. I was a little apprehensive about that, but the beach was owned by Royal Caribbean and walled off. We were supposed to go parasailing, but it was canceled because of a few squalls in the area. So, we lounged on the hammocks.

Our second excursion was to Ocho Rios, Jamaica. In our second stay in Jamaica, we climbed the Dunn's River Falls. It was really fun. I thought I was going to fall and die a few times and the water was really cold. But we had a good time. After the falls we ate at Margarittaville, where I ordered a Cheeseburger in Paradise.

Our next excursion, and my favorite, was to George Town, Grand Cayman (once known as Tortuga, which all of you Pirates of the Caribbean fans should recognize). Here, we got to visit Hell. It's a small town named after a rock formation that, quite literally, looks like hell. They have a post office where we got to mail ourselves some post cards that will be post marked "from hell." Christine also got to play with turtles at the turtle farm, and I got to look at cool pirate stuff. I even bought a few brass sunken treasure coins from an antique shop.

Our last excursion was to Cozumel, Mexico where we got to see the Ancient Myan Ruins at Tulum. This place was beautiful. They also had the best beach. The water was bathtub warm, and the salt content was so high, we were just floating in it. We got some great pictures.
